This was a small design project where we took a prototype board and redesigned for manufacture. The product is designed for long term installation underground to monitor the accoustic signatures of the surrounding rock.

The design brief was to understand the prototype, introduce any design changes to improve performance, and lay out the components for optimum low-noise performance.

A small daughter board containing filter networks and the multiple links allow the gain and operation of the amplifier to be  adjusted during installation.

The design was undertaken in conjunction with a PCB assembly company to ensure the final product could be manufactured at low cost.
